The Stainless Steel Spool Valve Box...Your Prayers Are Answered For 2011

Posted 17th February 2011

For many years, operators have been deceived. They have been supplied with mild steel spool valve boxes which appear to be enclosed, protecting vital hydraulic hoses and fittings, when in fact, they actually have huge cut-outs to the rear in order to facilitate for the installation of such controls. The use of mild steel means that the life-span of the box alone is limited, due to rusting and corrosion. This leaves the parts open to the elements and corrosive road sprays and grit, and the operator having to shell out more and more money every year for the repairs of continually failing equipment and rusted steel work.

For 2011, Dave Bland seeks to put a stop to this. New this year, we are launching our brand new spool valve box - fully enclosed hydraulic housing in which the hoses enclosed terminate at the back of the box, and from there, are led off to various parts of the vehicle via bulkhead fittings.

In addition to this, we have also waved goodbye to weak mild steel - the use of stainless steel is now applied to all our spool valve boxes as a standard feature. The need for repainting/replacing steel work and other factors that would've been aesthetically lessened by corroding mild-steel is reduced and this means that we can give our customers a longer life span assurance when it comes to the supply of our equipment.
